Confidence With Meeting and Minutes

Workshop Outline

Many people now arrange meetings and take minutes in both informal and formal situations with no training. This course will help you to build your confidence to carry out these tasks.

Workshop Audience

Those who are new to the minute takers role or who need to boost their confidence. Also useful for those chairing meetings to build up their knowledge so that they can assist and make best use of their minute taker.

Workshop Objectives

By the end of the workshop participants will be able to

  • List the various reasons for meetings taking place within their organisation
  • Detail the reasons that people attend meetings
  • Design effective agendas
  • Prepare checklists for use in arranging meetings
  • Differentiate between the roles of the chair and the minute taker
  • Describe the purpose of minutes
  • Prepare minutes in a variety of different styles
  • Develop their own abbreviation style

All participants will receive a full colour delegate workbook. This workshop can be delivered for small groups, in house or as an open programme.  This is a one day programme which can be run as half days if required.
